In 2016, September 23th, Marco Civardi held the public speech ‘Reality and Illusion in Architecture’ in San Bartolomeo Church, Piacenza, investigating the concepts of 'Real' and ‘Illusion’ in architecture and in spatial perception.
The book is designed and written in close continuity with the previous 'Time and Architecture’ | ‘Tempo e Architettura' book, a collection of writings and reflections on the theme of 'time' in architecture and continues the exploration of the balance between the forces of nature and the spirit of man that architecture embodies.
Texts and photos research the multiple relationships
between space, perception, the body and our existence, of
which architecture is a mirror.
Writings and images, deliberately partial and left open to new horizons of research and study, are a part of the author's travel background within architecture and within himself.
